Each of the input channels (2x stereo / 4x mono) has its own input signal level setting (Gain) and dual band frequency correction (EQ ± 16 dB), which allows flexible sound card settings for live recording and can help DJs focus on their own production and not monitor parameters of recording software. Eight segment LED bar indicators are used to visually check the signal level. You can select the monitoring output (CH 1-2 or CH 3-4), and a headset and microphone can be connected to the sound card via the TRS 6.3 connectors. Using the balanced XLR outputs it is possible to connect the VAI-80 sound card to a PA system, for example in a music club. High quality audio signal thanks to 16bit / 44.1kHz AD / DA converters (CD audio quality) will satisfy even more demanding DJs and is suitable for users of DAW application software. Although the sound card does not require any additional power, it can only work with power from a computer USB port (USB spec. Vers. 1.1, USB audio class spec. Vers. 1.0), but it can of course be connected to an external power adapter. For its unconventional design and durable design, the VAI-80 USB sound card was given the nickname "TANK".
