Vestax has been producing professional turntables for more than 30 years. During this time he gained a lot of experience and in the field of professional turntables for djing he was the only competitor of the legendary Technics, which, however, stopped production. Vestax upgraded its successful series of direct-drive PDX turntables, which also added the ability to control via the MIDI interface. The best parameters from previous models have been preserved. The entire chassis of the turntable is made of a special hardened ABS polymer with polycarbonate elements with an ingenious system of internal torsional struts and reinforcements, which allows good insulation from unwanted feedback. The "legs" of the turntable have been upgraded on this turntable. Their core now consists of a specially shaped amorphous rubber, ensuring effective absorption of all unwanted shocks and a special air pocket, which prevents the formation of otherwise unpleasant feedback at very low frequencies. view full description »

The extremely powerful 24-pole synchronous DC motor Direct Drive with Quartz system and torque (up to 4.7 kg / cm) reaches a constant speed in 0.5 sec. after pressing the Start button. The motor speed is sensed and constantly monitored by a digital servo controlled by a 32 bit CPU processor. Thanks to this technological innovation, the combination of a DC motor with a digital servo and the modification of the entire turntable plate casting, the Japanese Vestax optimized the ratio between the actual weight of the turntable and its inertia. Thanks to this design solution, playing from the PDX-3000MKII has become even more enjoyable and accurate. The turntable has an LED indication of the selection of the nominal speed.

The turntable is equipped with a height-adjustable linear Anti Skipping Tone-arm System (A.S.T.S.) arm for the best possible sound and minimizing the stress on the stylus by physical centrifugal and centrifugal forces acting on the stylus sensing the groove of the record. A.S.T.S. the linear arm ensures high sound quality and a stable process of recording from a record. This entire original A.S.T.S. is made of high quality aluminum alloy and was designed by experienced developers especially for Vestax. The A.S.T.S. is popular worldwide, which testifies to its quality, and Vestax is, of course, protected by US patents.

The analog part of the turntable has also been modified. Over the last 10 years of turntable development, the Vestax has come up with a markedly better use of engine torque. The turntable can be set to 2 basic torque control modes. Mix mode, which allows precise speed control with the slightest touch on the plate, and Performance mode (PFM), which, in turn, maintains a stable speed regardless of external factors. Any ratio can be set between the two modes using the rotary fader. Another parameter that the user can influence on the turntable is the setting of the acceleration of the braking torque of the motor and the electric brake, ie stopping or starting the turntable plate. This parameter is also adjusted using the Brake rotary potentiometer. The turntable has a basic 100mm linear fader pitch control ± 10% and in addition a second short 45mm linear fader as an ultrapitch in the range of ± 50%. By combining both, we work with a range of speed change of up to 60%. Another feature of the turntable is reverse or Quartz Lock. The most interesting feature on the Vestax PDX-3000MKII is definitely the ability to connect to another device via MIDI interface and turntable control via integrated MIDI.
